I Will Free Lagosians From APC – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that he would free the people of Lagos State from the “bondage” of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has ruled the state since the inception of the fourth republic in 1999.

He asked the people not to vote for APC during the rescheduled general elections but to cast their votes for all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates contesting elections, so as to be free from APC’s alleged 16 years of oppression.

Osun APC Gives Police, DSS Two Weeks To Prosecute Fani-Kayode Over Alleged Rigging Video

 

 All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun state, Friday, gave a two-week ultimatum to the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Service (DSS), to arrest the director of Media of Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode over a video he alleged showed how APC rigged last year’s governorship polls in the state.

The party, while reacting to claims by the former Minister of Aviation when he appeared on a Lagos-based television on Thursday, said should security agents fail to prosecute Fani-Kayode, it would compel Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola to set up an independent panel to look into the matter.

4 Killed In Benue As Robbers Attack Bank

At least four persons were shot dead by armed robbers during an attack on an old generation bank at Vandeikya area of Benue State.

A policeman was also injured as the robbers reportedly carted away large sums of money.

According to an eyewitness, the suspected armed robbers, who stormed the community around 2:00 p.m., disarmed a policeman before they entered the bank.

Fayose: Buhari in London Hospital for medical treatment, says: "he is vindicated"

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the APC presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) who  travelled to the United Kingdom (UK) for medical treatment is being attended to at a London hospital, describing the medical trip as a vindication of his earlier stand that Buhari was sick and lacked the required capacity to rule Nigeria. 

He said; "as against the claim of the APC that Bihari was on a short working visit to the UK, Buhari is being treated at a hospital located at Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, W2 London West End, London."

30 killed in Boko Haram attack near Chibok

At least 30 people were killed during an attack by Boko Haram members in Thlaimakalama and Gatamarwa villages in Borno state yesterday February 19th. Confirming the attack to AFP, the head of the Chibok Elders Forum, Pogo Bitrus said;

"From information coming in from residents of the two villages at least 30 people were killed in the attacks."
