'APC is a party of rebels,insurgents'-Amaechi's deputy dumps APC for PDP

The deputy Governor  of Rivers State,Mr Tele Ikuru, Sunday, dumped his All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. In a statement giving his reasons, he said the APC “is a party of rebels, insurgents and anarchists, clothed in robes of pretense and deceit.”

My dear People of Rivers State, I bring you honest and sincere greetings. Today (Sunday), I address you out of the fullness of my heart. Recall that in December 2013, out of extreme loyalty to my boss and friend, I joined the APC, along with other then disillusioned Rivers People.

Stop celebrating corrupt people, President Jonathan urges Nigerians

President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Nigerians to stop celebrating people with ill-gotten wealth in order to discourage corruption in the country.

Jonathan, who participated in the Presidential Debate organised by the Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG) on Sunday in Abuja, said Nigerians should change their attitude towards primitive accumulation of wealth.

In an interview with Sunday Tribune, former Super Falcon star, Cynthia Uwak said it is pathetic to assume that female footballers are lesbians. According to Cynthia, you cannot label a person a lesbian if you have not caught them doing the act.

"I find it really surprising when people say many female footballers are lesbians. The question is; “who have they caught in the act? What proof do they have to come up with such conclusion? I believe everyone is always linked to one thing or the other, that’s the only way the world can go round. But saying that female footballers are lesbians is rather pathetic. Death Threat: Enugu Bishops Meet Mbaka Yestday

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu, which oversees the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka-led Adoration Ministry, has said it will meet with the cleric today to investigate his claim that President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, want him dead. This is as the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria on Saturday said Rev. Fr. Mbaka, had yet to report to the said allegations to it.

Mbaka, who has repeatedly stated his opposition to the President’s re-election, had alleged during a sermon he delivered in his church, as seen in a recent video uploaded on YouTube last Sunday that President Jonathan and his wife want to kill him.
